TL;DR: A good-quality jacuzzi bath costs from around £2,250 to just over £7,000 in the UK for the bath and whirlpool system, before fitting; in our Carron range a straight bath with six jets starts at £2,250 and the large freestanding Celsius Duo reaches £7,140.
- Our prices include a Carronite bath and a factory-fitted C-Lenda system, with the free Carronite upgrade already taken off.
- Going from 6 jets with pneumatic controls to 16 jets with electronic controls and a light adds £1,341.
- Shower baths start at £2,594, corner baths at £2,890 and freestanding at £4,104.
- Budget separately for fitting, a dedicated electrical supply and access to the pump.
- Running costs are low: the pump uses roughly 7p of electricity in a 20-minute bath at the October 2026 price cap rate.
A jacuzzi bath costs from around £2,250 for a straight bath with a six-jet system, up to just over £7,000 for a large freestanding bath with sixteen jets, before fitting. The bath shape, the size, the jet system and the panels all move the price, so here is how it breaks down.
The prices below are our prices for Carron whirlpool baths at the time of writing, including VAT. Each one is a Carronite bath with a C-Lenda whirlpool system fitted at the Carron factory.
Jacuzzi bath prices at a glance
| Type of whirlpool bath | From | Up to | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight single or double ended | £2,250 | £5,592 | Arc single ended |
| Shower bath | £2,594 | £7,050 | Delta shower bath |
| Corner bath | £2,890 | £5,276 | Centennial 1500mm corner |
| Freestanding | £4,104 | £7,140 | Celsius freestanding |
The "from" prices are for the bath only with System 1. The "up to" prices include panels (and a screen on shower baths) and the top system available for that bath.
How much does the whirlpool system add?
Upgrading from the entry system to the top system adds £1,341 to the price of the same bath. There are six C-Lenda systems, and each bath page only shows the ones that fit it.
| System | Jets | Controls | Light | Extra cost vs System 1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| System 1 | 6 side | Pneumatic | No | – |
| System 2 | 6 side, 6 back, 4 foot | Pneumatic | No | +£442 |
| System 3 | 6 side, 6 back, 4 foot | Pneumatic | Yes | +£901 |
| System 4 | 6 side | Electronic | No | +£442 |
| System 5 | 6 side, 6 back, 4 foot | Electronic | No | +£901 |
| System 6 | 6 side, 6 back, 4 foot | Electronic | Yes | +£1,341 |
Pneumatic controls use a simple air button on the bath. Electronic controls give you a touch panel. The chromotherapy light adds coloured underwater lighting, and an extra pair of foot jets is available too. Ask us about these extras when you order, as they are fitted at the factory.
What else affects the price?
- Size. Longer and wider baths cost more and hold more water.
- Panels and screens. A front panel, end panel or shower screen adds to the price, and you will usually want at least a front panel to hide and reach the pump.
- Taps and waste. Budget for bath taps or a bath shower mixer. Freestanding baths need floor-standing or wall-mounted taps.
- Lead time. Whirlpool baths are made to order at the factory, so allow for this in your project plan.
How much does it cost to install a jacuzzi bath?
Installing a jacuzzi bath costs more than fitting a standard bath, because you need an electrician as well as a plumber. The total depends on your bathroom, so we always price it on an itemised quote. Expect to pay for:
- Plumbing and fitting the bath, waste and taps, just as with any bath.
- A dedicated electrical supply for the pump, with RCD protection and an isolating switch in a safe position, fitted by a qualified electrician. Adding to or altering a circuit near a bath is notifiable under Part P in England, so make sure your electrician can certify the work.
- Pump access, usually a removable bath panel, so the pump can be serviced later.
- Floor checks, particularly for larger baths upstairs. Water weighs about a kilo per litre, so a 300-litre bath plus a bather puts a lot of weight on the floor.
For a sense of overall bathroom budgets, see our bathroom renovation cost guide.
How much does a jacuzzi bath cost to run?
A jacuzzi bath costs roughly 7p in electricity to run the jets for a 20-minute bath. A typical whirlpool pump is around one horsepower, which is about 0.75kW, so 20 minutes uses about 0.25kWh. At the Ofgem price cap rate of 26.32p per kWh for October to December 2026, that comes to roughly 6.5p.
The bigger cost is the hot water. The water has to cover the jets before you switch on, so you will run a fuller bath than you might otherwise. A larger bath holds more water, so if running costs matter to you, choose a size that fits you rather than the biggest one available.
What to watch out for with cheap jacuzzi baths
- Retrofitted systems. Carron only covers whirlpool systems fitted at its factory or by its approved partner. A system added to a bath elsewhere won't carry the bath maker's warranty.
- Thin or flexible shells. A bath that flexes puts strain on the jets, pipework and sealant. Carronite is reinforced for rigidity.
- Protruding jets. Jets that stick out are less comfortable and harder to clean than flush jets.
- Safety features. Look for suction protection against hair and body entrapment. Every C-Lenda system has it.
- Spares and service. Check who will service the pump in five or ten years' time.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a jacuzzi bath?
Our jacuzzi baths start at £2,250 for a Carron bath with a six-jet system and go up to £7,140 for the freestanding Celsius Duo. See the full range in our whirlpool baths collection.
Is a jacuzzi bath expensive to run?
No. The pump uses roughly 7p of electricity in a 20-minute bath at the October 2026 price cap rate. Heating the bath water costs more.
Is a corner jacuzzi bath more expensive?
Yes, slightly. Our corner whirlpool baths start at £2,890, compared with £2,250 for a straight bath. Corner baths also hold more water. See the Tranquility corner bath with whirlpool for an example.
Why is a whirlpool bath cheaper elsewhere?
Check what is included. Some prices are for the system only, for standard acrylic rather than Carronite, or for a system fitted outside the factory. Our prices include the Carronite bath and a factory-fitted system.
