Making a small mirror work harder
In a cloakroom or small en-suite, the mirror often has to double as storage. The Ledge mirror has a removable glass shelf, handy where there is no room for a vanity top. Frameless designs such as Slim, Gala and Brix keep the look light, and organic shapes such as Oslo Organic and Slim Organic avoid hard corners in a tight space. For rounds in every size, see our round bathroom mirrors, or browse all bathroom mirrors.
Small illuminated mirrors
A lit mirror is a good way to brighten a windowless cloakroom. The Cleo Round and Claris Round both come in a 50cm size with a built-in demister and adjustable colour temperature, and Kingsley and Edison start at 60cm. Illuminated mirrors are hardwired, so they need a qualified electrician.
What size mirror suits a cloakroom basin?
Many cloakroom basins are 50cm wide or less, so a mirror of 40cm to 50cm across usually looks right. Belvoir Rectangular and Agat Arch at 40x60cm, and Gala Square at 40cm, all sit neatly over a compact basin.
Do I need a demister on a small plain mirror?
In a cloakroom without a shower it is rarely needed. If the mirror is in an en-suite, most plain Origins designs here accept a demister pad, sold separately.
Should I go bigger instead?
A larger mirror can make a small room feel more open, as long as the wall allows it. Compare our large bathroom mirrors, or talk it through at a free consultation.
