Illuminated Bathroom Mirrors

Our illuminated bathroom mirrors come from Origins Living, with LED ranges including Claris, Cleo, Kingsley, Lomax Light, Edison and Tate Light in round, arched, capsule and rectangular shapes. Every one is rated for use in bathroom zone 2.

When choosing, decide first whether you want light on your face (front-lit) or a soft glow on the wall behind (back-lit). Kingsley does both, with each light controlled separately.

Buying guides

Front-lit, back-lit or both

Front-lit mirrors such as Cleo, Lomax Light, Tate Light and Astoria throw light forward onto your face, which is what you want for shaving and make-up. Back-lit designs such as Claris, Edison and Luxor wash light onto the wall behind the glass for a softer glow that doubles as evening mood lighting. The Kingsley Round has both, so one mirror covers both jobs; some Kingsley sizes and finishes are currently on pre-order. Plain designs sit alongside these on our main bathroom mirrors page.

Choosing the colour of the light

Colour temperature is measured in kelvin (K). Lower figures look warm and relaxing; higher figures look crisp and closer to daylight. Claris, Cleo and Edison adjust between 3000K and 6000K, Kingsley's front light runs from 2700K to 6500K, and Astoria switches between three settings. Lomax Light, Tate Light and Lexington are fixed at a neutral 4000K. If you do your make-up at the mirror, an adjustable model such as the Claris Round lets you check how things look in warmer and cooler light. Our illuminated mirror guide explains lumens, CRI and sizing.

Do these mirrors have a demister?

All of them except Fractal have a built-in demister that switches on with the mirror light, so the glass clears quickly after a shower. If you also want close-up detail, add one of our magnifying mirrors beside it.

Can an illuminated mirror go near the shower?

Every mirror here is rated for zone 2, which covers the area up to 0.6m out from the edge of a bath or shower. Most are IP44 and Fractal is IP55. Prefer a particular outline? Browse our round bathroom mirrors.

Who should wire in an LED mirror?

A qualified, registered electrician. These mirrors are hardwired rather than plugged in, so the cable position needs deciding before the wall is tiled. We can plan the mirror and its wiring with you at a free one-to-one consultation.
