Patterned floor tiles from Designer Tiles

Designer Tile Co is a family-run supplier based in Leicester, established in 1987, with porcelain and ceramic tiles for walls and floors. Its patterned floor tiles suit hallways, kitchens and bathrooms, particularly in period homes:

  • Vintage ranges (Balmoral, Chateaux, Retro and Windsor): 45 x 45cm tiles in colours including sage, sky blue, navy, black and grey.
  • Heritage: smaller 20 x 20cm tiles with star and octagon motifs in caramel, graphite, sage green and ash blue.

For more on period schemes, read our traditional bathroom ideas, and pair a patterned floor with sanitaryware from Imperial Bathrooms.

Stone, marble and concrete-effect porcelain

For a plainer backdrop, the porcelain ranges include Marbella, a large-format stone look in sizes up to 60 x 120cm; Whitestone Carrara, a marble effect in gloss or matt; Cemento, a concrete effect; and Corten, a rust-toned metal effect. Our guide to porcelain vs ceramic tiles explains why porcelain is so often chosen for floors.

Are patterned tiles suitable for a bathroom floor?

They can be. Slip resistance varies by tile and finish, so ask us about the slip rating of the tile you like before choosing it for a wet area.

Can I use large-format tiles in a small room?

Often, yes. Fewer grout lines can make a small floor look calmer, although the surface underneath must be very flat and some cuts will be larger.

What other tiles can I compare?

Set Designer Tiles against Ca' Pietra natural stone and porcelain, or see every brand on our tiles page.

How do I choose the right pattern?

Bring floor measurements and a photo of the room to a free one-to-one consultation and lay samples side by side in the showroom before you commit.
