JT Ellis kitchens: shaker or handleless
JT Ellis has made furniture in Huddersfield since 1891 and is still a family business, building its kitchens in its own Yorkshire factory. The ranges cover classic and contemporary styles:
- Latimer: a beaded shaker door, suited to period homes.
- Metropolitan: a thin shaker frame for a cleaner, more modern take on the look.
- Bergamo: a reeded woodgrain slab door.
- Integrato: J-pull handleless, with the grip built into the door, in white, taupe grey or dove grey, each in gloss or matt.
Finishes include Indigo, Reed Green, Kombu Green and Light Oak. Our guide to shaker vs handleless kitchens covers the practical differences, and there is more on our kitchens page.
Fitted bedrooms from JT Ellis
JT Ellis bedroom ranges include Cromer, Holkham and the handleless Sennen. Fitted wardrobes use the full wall, so they usually hold more than freestanding furniture and leave no awkward gaps to collect dust. See our fitted bedrooms.
Is a shaker or handleless kitchen easier to clean?
Handleless doors have flat faces, so they wipe down quickly. Shaker doors have a recessed centre panel with edges that need a little more attention.
Can I mix kitchen finishes?
Yes. JT Ellis designs Integrato colours to be mixed and matched, and a two-tone scheme, such as a darker island or lower cabinets, is a simple way to add contrast.
What flooring and tiles go with a JT Ellis kitchen?
We can plan wall and floor tiles or Ambiance luxury vinyl flooring as part of the same project.
