Freestanding Baths

Freestanding baths stand on their own in the room rather than against a wall, so they become the centrepiece of the bathroom. Choose from cast iron roll tops, acrylic slipper and boat baths, and modern oval and fluted designs.

Buying guides

How much is a freestanding bath?

Our freestanding baths start at £1,184 for the Una acrylic bath. Most acrylic designs in the Tilelyte Bath Collection cost under £2,100, and cast iron baths from Imperial run from £2,995 for the Waldorf up to £12,600 for the aluminium-skirted Radison.

Acrylic or cast iron?

Acrylic baths are light, warm to the touch and easy to get upstairs. Cast iron baths are heavy, hold their heat once warm and have a hard enamel finish that lasts for decades. Compare them in our guide to cast iron vs acrylic baths, or see all acrylic baths and cast iron baths.

Freestanding bath styles

  • Roll top baths have a rounded rim and suit traditional and modern rooms. See all roll top baths.
  • Slipper baths have one or both ends raised for a comfortable soak, like the Dora double-ended slipper bath or the cast iron Ritz.
  • Boat baths rise at both ends with a sleek profile, like the Audra and Maeve.
  • Textured and fluted baths add detail to the outside: the Ginette is fluted, the Fayre has a diamond texture and the Ingra a basket weave.
  • Modern baths with clean lines include the Una, Quatra and Kora.

Can I fit a freestanding bath in a small bathroom?

Often, yes. The Hettie is 1500mm long and the Jena slipper bath is just 1350mm. Leave enough space around the bath to clean behind it. See our small baths and our guide to mini freestanding baths.

What taps does a freestanding bath need?

A bath with no tap holes needs a floor-standing or wall-mounted mixer. A bath with tap holes takes a deck-mounted mixer on the rim. Browse our bath taps and bath shower mixers, and if you want a shower too, read roll top bath with shower.

Can a freestanding bath be painted?

Yes. Our acrylic baths can be hand-painted to order, and many of our cast iron baths come primed, ready to paint. See our guide to painted and coloured roll top baths.

Can I see a freestanding bath before I order?

Yes. Book a free one-to-one consultation through our contact page or visit our Birmingham showroom at 32 Manor Park Rd, B36 0DJ, Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
