About Imperial Bathrooms
Imperial are a British bathroom maker based in Aldridge, in the West Midlands, a short drive from our showroom. They describe their team as time-served craftsmen working with wood, clay and other natural materials, and their taps and showers are cast in solid brass and finished by hand.
The range covers everything for a traditional bathroom: cast iron baths supplied primed and ready to paint, ceramic basins and toilets, painted furniture, brassware and accessories. That makes it easy to plan a whole room from one maker.
Imperial collections at a glance
- Radcliffe: Victorian in feel, including a high level toilet with ornate brackets. Pair it with Fradley furniture.
- Lichfield: high level, low level, close coupled and back to wall toilets, with grained painted furniture in Cashmere, Sage Thistle and Oxford Blue.
- Regent: console basins on ceramic legs, metal basin stands and an open trap close coupled toilet.
- Astoria Deco: angular basins, pedestals and toilets for an Art Deco look.
- Carlyon and Carlyon Bay: softly curved ceramics with wall hung vanity units in Matt Black, Dartmouth Grey and Sea Mist.
- Westminster: a cast iron bath with showering and soft-close seats to match.
Planning a complete Imperial bathroom
Almost every metal part, from taps and bath feet to cistern levers, seat hinges, basin traps and cabinet handles, is offered in the same five finishes. Choose one and carry it through the room. Our guide to bathroom tap finishes explains how each one looks and wears.
Start with the pieces that need most planning: the cast iron bath, because of its weight, and the toilet, because of cistern height and pipework. Then choose basins and vanity units from the same collection.
Are all Imperial baths cast iron?
Most are. The range also includes a composite stone bath and the cast iron Radison with a polished aluminium skirt.
Can I mix Imperial collections?
Yes, as long as the shapes sit well together and the metal finish is consistent. A cast iron bath, for example, works with the basin and toilet from most of the traditional collections.
Which Imperial collection suits a period home?
Radcliffe and Lichfield suit Victorian and Edwardian houses, while Astoria Deco suits a 1930s home. Our traditional bathroom ideas guide goes through each era.
