Black Bathroom Mirrors

Black bathroom mirrors give a crisp, graphic outline that stands out against pale tiles and painted walls. This page covers black framed mirrors from Origins Living, including lit Kingsley, Lomax Light and Tate Light designs, plus Imperial's Carlyon Bay mirror in Matt Black.

A black frame goes with almost any tap finish, so choose it for the contrast you want in the room first and match metals after.

Why a black frame works

Black draws a clean line around the glass, so the mirror reads as a deliberate feature rather than a plain panel on the wall. It looks sharp against white metro tiles, soft plaster pinks and pale marble effects, and against darker tiles it adds depth rather than contrast. Shape matters more in black: the Oslo Irregular Hexagon and Docklands Octagon make the outline the whole point. Every other finish is on our main bathroom mirrors page.

Mixing black with metal

Black sits happily with chrome for a monochrome look, or with brushed brass and antique gold for warmth. Two designs build that mix in: the Luxor Round pairs black with brass in an 80cm back-lit mirror, and the Carlyon Bay Round has a Matt Black frame with four slim strips in any of five Imperial tap finishes. Our guide to bathroom tap finishes helps you choose the metal, and our brass and gold bathroom mirrors show the warmer side.

Do black mirror frames show water marks?

Matt black can show dried water spots and soap residue more than a brushed metal finish. Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth and dry it; avoid abrasive pads and strong limescale removers, which can dull the finish.

Are there black illuminated mirrors?

Yes. Kingsley, Lomax Light, Tate Light and Astoria all come in black with LED lighting and a built-in demister, and Luxor is lit from behind. Tate Light also comes in chrome and white. See more in our illuminated bathroom mirrors.

Will a black mirror make a small bathroom feel smaller?

Not usually. Most frames here are slim, and the glass still bounces light round the room. In a very small space, a round or organic shape keeps the effect soft. Talk it through at a free consultation.
